Featuring a scene collaboratively created by the artists at Blue Room in Liverpool, England, Party Animals is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Blue Room is the Bluecoat’s inclusive arts project supporting learning disabled and neurodivergent artists. Blue Room artists explore contemporary art at the art centre in Liverpool, North West England with support to create and share their own work.
After seeing bath bombs fizz and froth during a visit to our neighbours at the flagship Lush Liverpool store, the Blue Room artists were reminded of the colours and patterns of the Northern Lights. Back in the studio, their own colourful skies were created using powdered inks. There are a lot of bird lovers in Blue Room, so the early designs were inspired by all the birds in the song ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. If you look closely, you can spot turtle doves, French hens and swans-a-swimming, all partying with their diverse animal friends.
